Choose to participate in initiatives that will positively impact the world and help make a difference in your community,” perfectly and summarily convey the more than 10 years of life-tranforming influence Drew Uyi has brought to the lives of young footballers across the world.

Uyi is a FIFA licensed football agent and brand strategist guru. His imprint in the game, particularly creating uncommon regular opportunities for kids through his Top Football Trials UK brand to expose them to big clubs across Europe, has been colossal.

The UK-born Nigerian, who co-founded Top Football Trials UK, came to the understanding of the crave among kids in the United Kingdom to become the next big thing in football, the country’s most loved sport, organised free trials for young children and adults with hundreds of scouts in hand to poach talents.

Uyi incures thousands of pounds in cost each time he organises several of his trials for the discovery of talents. He provides a handsomely viable platform for the ambitious kids, knowing that reaching for the stars on their own would be daunting. And over the years, he has been consistent, selfless and resolved to sustain the  initiative with clarity of vision.

When it comes to branding and strategically positioning athletes for the actualisation of their commercial value and getting due worth for their image rights, he has no rival.

The FA licensed intermediary was pivotal in the endorsement and sponsorship deals for the likes of Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa; former Chelsea forward, Victor Moses, ex-Omonia Nicosia and Nigerian defender, Shehu Abdullahi. Uyi also similarly facilitated such for Eagles and Al-Hilal striker, Odion Ighalo.

Recently, Cornerstone Christian University (CCU), an American university based in Florida, announced in a social media post of its decision to confer on Uyi a doctorate degree on October 29, in an event scheduled to hold at Double Tree Hilton in Atlanta, Georgia.

Cornerstone Christian University shares the same value as Uyi. The higher institution, established in 1999, is a non-profit private and biblically based higher-education institution focused on inspiring a new generation of leaders, offering leadership and management courses from first degree to PhD level.

In its citation to the highly influential football stakeholder, Cornerstone Christian University noted that he had worked and managed big names in sports, as well as in the entertainment industry.

“As a sports and events management graduate from the London Metropolitan University, London, who holds a postgraduate degree in marketing from the University of the Arts London,” Cornerstone Christian University wrote.

Continuing, Cornerstone Christian University stated that, “he is a FIFA licensed football agent, brand strategist and athlete brand educator. He has managed and worked with some big names in the sports and the entertainment industry.”
