Determined to Keep faith with the established tradition of excellence that defined the previous edition, CitySports Africa 5th Anniversary Awards and Fundraising lived up to its expectations as it turned out to be an occasion that will remain on the lips of attendees for years to come.

The showpiece of glamour and glitz had in attendance some of the best achievers and eminent individuals in sports, politics, leadership, business, and arts.

Expectedly, The Podium, located at 124 T.F. Kuboye Road, Lekki Phase 1 came alive right before 3 pm. You could feel the panache, elegance, splendour, and high esteem with which the guests held their host for its contributions to the development of sports and nurturing talents not just in Nigeria but in Africa as a whole.

Award recipients, parents, supporters, and other guests created a festive atmosphere as they were being ushered into the beautifully adorned hall. As the event lasted, it was an experience that will remain vivid in their memory even if they live to be 100 years old.

Looking incredibly smashing in their costumes were the event hostesses who led guests to their seats and ensured that everybody was well taken care of in a glamorous event where over 150 awards were presented to winners in different sports like swimming, Athletics, Basketball, and Football for the U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15 and u-18 categories.

The Sports Leadership Award which was the biggest award on the night went to CitySports Academy star, Kamran Nouri. Fielding questions from reporters, Nouri’s parents expressed their satisfaction with their son’s notable achievement and believed the sports academy is capable of nurturing Nouri into a better player.

One of CitySports Africa’s partners, Supreme Educational Foundation School also had their awardees.

Despite missing out on qualifying for the 2024/2025 NNL season with their participation in the NLO last season, CitySports FC players got medals for their efforts while the Best Player and Goal of The Season awards were also presented to winners.
