Kano Pillars place eight for sale, sign replacements
Title aspirants, Kano Pillars, have placed eight of their current players in the transfer market, just as they have recruited new players to replace the departing players in the on-going open window.
According to the chairman of the club, Alhaji Kabiru Baita, the management of the club decided to rejig their squad in order to fortify the team ahead of the run in to the season.
Speaking after a board meeting in Kano yesterday, Alhaji Baita said the government and people of Kano State were not happy with the state of things in the 2014 champions’ camp, adding that the technical crew and players have been charged to focus on winning back the title they lost to Enyimba last season.
He said it was unfortunate that the team were floundering even when the players and technical crew were not owed any of their entitlements in the on going season.
