The management of Kano Pillars says the club will welcome Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa, if he chooses to join the club. The club, however, denied speculations that Musa has signed a short-term contract with the club, where he began his career as a professional player before moving to Europe.

Speaking to The Guardian yesterday, Kano Pillars Media Officer, Idris Malikawa, said he will not make any official statement on the contract talks with the ex CSKA Moscow player.

“I am just getting the information that Ahmed Musa has signed a short-term contract with Kano Pillars. I am not aware of that. Musa has not in any way communicated to Pillars management and the management of the club has not gotten any official information on the intention of Musa to play in Pillars. But if Ahmed Musa wants to play for Kano Pillars in the NPFL, he is highly welcome to the club,” he said.
