National Youth Games’ golf tees off on September 11

The golf event of the 2019 National Youth Games will tee off on September 11 at the National Youth Games, tagged Ilorin 2019, the organisers have disclosed.

States are expected to compete in 34 events in both the boys and girls’ categories at the festival, which offers a window into the future of Nigerian sports.

According to the schedule provided by the Nigeria Golf Federation (NGF), players are expected to be in Ilorin
on September 11 for registration and practice, while the competition will hold from September 12 to, September 14.

Each state is expected to register a maximum of two players in each of the categories, which include match play, eclectic play, stabelford team, and stroke play.

The golf event of the competition will hold at the Ilorin Golf Club.
