Nestle reaffirms commitment to talent development

Sponsor of the yearly Milo National Secondary Schools Basketball Championship, Nestle Plc, has reiterated its commitment to empowering Nigerian youths to develop their talents in every aspect of life.
  
Speaking at the national final of the 2025 edition of the championship, Nestle Nigeria’s Commercial Manager, Boladele Odunlami, eiterated the firm’s commitment to developing talents, promoting healthier lifestyles, and instilling values for success in life through sports.
 
He said: “MILO firmly believes that through participation in sports, children learn enduring values to help them achieve success in life.”
 
He enjoined all the participants at the finals held at the National Stadium, Lagos, to make the best of the championship, which started with more than 12,000 secondary schools across the country, before 12 schools emerged to battle for both the boys and girls titles in the national championship in Lagos.
 
The championship ended on dramatic notes as Niger State’s representatives and FCT’s flagbearers won the boys’ and girls’ titles respectively.
 
In the boys’ final, Isaiah John’s free throw in the dying seconds of extra time delivered a close 66-64 victory to Father O’Connell Science College, Minna, over hard-fighting Bishop Dimieari Grammar School from Bayelsa State.
