Niger Tornadoes of Minna will resume training today for the final phase of their preparation for the 2018/2019 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) after a two-week break for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The Ikon  Allah boys will regroup at the club’s training ground at the College of Education mini stadium, Minna this morning to hold their first training session of the new year.

According to the chairman of the Niger Tornadoes management committee, Mallam Abubakar Mustapha Gawu, the players were expected to arrive in camp yesterday ahead of the first training session.

“I urge all the players of the club to comply on the resumption date because no excuse has been granted to any player.

“I wish all of the players happy holidays and safe trip back to Minna,” he concluded.

If everything works as scheduled, Niger Tornadoes will kick off their 2018/19 NPFL campaign against Enugu Rangers January 13, 2019.
