Plateau United’s form book looks really seesaw: L W L W L, and a fairly logical forecast of the result of their home fixture against FC Ifeanyi Ubah would be a win and by a two-goal margin. The Peace boys have been uber-dominant at the Rwang Pam Stadium crushing their opponents with an average of more than two-goals per game.

The last time points were dropped at the Tin city was a goalless draw against Lobi Stars far back Matchday 11. But with the pressure of remaining top at the business end of the season and MFM FC aggressively pushing behind from the second spot, could Plateau United’s swaggering dominance get a dent?

FC Ifeanyi Ubah are one of the better travellers in the Nigeria Professional Football League, garnering six points to place joint fourth on the away standings. The Nnewi outfit have sights on a continental spot and will want to continue from their last away draw at Ijebu Ode against Remo Stars. Yaw Preko’s side have lost just one match in their last five games, therefore a draw should be an achievable feat from the talented side.

Second-placed MFM FC will be guests at The Cathedral against Enugu Rangers, hoping to get their first away points since March. The defending champions have made a hash of their title defence gifting valuable points as charitable hosts while wallowing in the murky relegation waters.

The Olukoya Boys know that getting points away from home aids their title assault and puts more pressure on Plateau United, and one of the easier places to get them is at Enugu.

Top marksman, Stephen Odey, SIkiru Olatunbosun and Chukwuka Onuwa should combine, to good effect, to eke out a draw at least and maybe we could get another wonder goal from this fixture just like its reverse that witnessed an otherworldly volley from Olatunbosun.
