China-based Asisat Oshoala and Onome Ebi are top of the Super Falcons’ squad picked by Head Coach, Thomas Dennerby to fly Nigeria’s flag at the 11th Women Africa Cup of Nations finals in Ghana. The championship starts next week with champions, Nigeria heading Group B of the competition where they will meet South Africa, Zambia and Kenya.

In the 21-woman squad are some of the veterans of the competition including goalkeepers Tochukwu Oluehi (Rivers Angels); Christy Ohiaeriaku (Confluence Queens) and Chiamaka Nnadozie (Rivers Angels).

To defend Nigeria’s territory in Ghana are Glory Ogbonna (Ibom Angels); Sarah Nnodim (Nasarawa Amazons); Ngozi Ebere (Barcelona FC, Cyprus); Faith Michael (Pitea IF, Sweden); Onome Ebi (Henan Huisanhang, China); Osinachi Ohale (Vaxjo DFF, Sweden) and Josephine Chukwunonye (Asarum AIF, Sweden). Amarachi Okoronkwo (Nasarawa Amazons); Ngozi Okobi (Eskiltuna UTD, Sweden); Rita Chikwelu (Krstianstand DFF, Sweden) and Halimat Ayinde (Asarum AIF, Sweden) will run the midfield, while Anam Imo (Nasarawa Amazons); Rasheedat Ajibade (FC Robo Queens); Francisca Ordega (Washington Spirit, USA).
