The plea by the Nigeria Modern Pentathlon Federation to the corporate world and well meaning individuals for their support towards Nigerian’s bid to successfully host the Youth Olympic Games qualification and the senior African Pentathlon Championship from December 4-11 seems to be yielding results.

Some Nigerians have started responding to the pleas, following the donation of some equipment, including computer laptops by Mr. Ozed Offorjebe to the Federation.

Offorjebe who made the donation in Lagos on Thursday said the effort was part of his contributions towards ensuring that Nigeria hosts a hitch-free championship.

President of the Nigeria Modern Pentathlon Federation and vice chairman of the Main Organising Committee, Chief Jonathan Nnaji, who received the donation on behalf of the Federation, thanked Offorjebe for his kind gesture, even as he promised judicious use of the items.

Nnaji used the opportunity to appeal to corporate organizations and well meaning individuals for more support.
