Ozoro Poly stadium will aid Nigerian sports, says rector

Complex built with internally generated revenue
The rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro in Isoko North local government area of Delta State, Dr. Jacob S. Oboreh, jackpot has said that the newly constructed stadium by the institution would drive education through sports.
Ozoro Poly, established since 2002, has in the last four years, expanded in massive infrastructural development and enhanced academic performance, Volleyball Betting which led to the construction of one of the best stadia in Nigeria. The Ozoro Poly Stadium with modern sporting facilities is aesthetically designed for field and track events.
Some Nigerian athletes currently flying the nation’s flag at the on-going Rio Olympic Games used the facilities for training before jetting out of the country.
The Rector commended the state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for adding N100, 000,000 to internally generated revenue of the institution towards the construction of the stadium.
According to Dr. Oboreh, the purpose of the modern stadium is for polytechnic games and other football activities in Delta State.
He disclosed that the stadium has a 14,000 sitting capacity, football prediction and analysis completed interior roofing and ceiling with 149 toilets and 89 urinary, waiting hall and another hall for receiving important dignitaries. “It will compete favorably with other stadia in the country. The stadium will be commissioned very soon by the state governor,” he stated.
Dr. Oboreh emphasized that when student’s brain is radicalized in sports, the tendency for involvement in unwholesome acts like cultism, richest football club alcoholism and sexual immorality is curbed.
He disclosed that the stadium was built through direct labour using internal human resource, adding that the institution has civil engineering, quantity survey and building technology departments with a Corel engineer appropriately positioned to achieve the best through architectural synergy.
The rector commended the staff and students of the institution for their efforts in the construction of the stadium, which he said was built with about N8 billion.
According to him, another six story building laboratory is near completion, the richest coach in the world adding that a section of auto mechanic workshop for automobile engineering student with a computerized alignment workshop is also completed.
He commended the Delta State governing council for their constant supervision towards ensuring that standard is not compromised throughout the period of the construction.
