PFL Africa appoints Halogen as security partner for Nigeria sport debut

PFL Africa has appointed Halogen Security Company as the official security partner for its debut Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event in Nigeria, as preparations intensify for the landmark sporting showcase scheduled for June 13, 2026 at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos.

This was contained in a statement issued during the week by the Executive Director, Operations and Allied Services of Halogen Security Company, Bosun Sosanya.

According to the organisers, the event will bring together elite fighters, international delegates, event officials, media representatives, sponsors, and thousands of fans, marking a major milestone in African sports entertainment.

Speaking on the partnership, Sosanya said Halogen was proud to collaborate with PFL Africa for what he described as a historic sporting debut in Nigeria, noting that security remains central to delivering a successful international event of such magnitude.

He said the company is committed to ensuring a safe and seamless environment that will allow athletes, officials, partners, and fans to enjoy a world-class sporting experience, adding that the partnership reflects Halogen’s commitment to enabling excellence through security leadership.

Sosanya further stated that the collaboration reinforces Halogen’s position as a trusted provider of integrated security and risk management solutions for corporate, entertainment, sporting, and public events across Nigeria.

As Lagos prepares to host the event, he said Halogen remains focused on delivering operational excellence and professional security support tailored to the scale and sensitivity of the competition.

He explained that as official security partner, the company will provide integrated security services, secure mobility support, protocol coordination, and operational security management throughout the event period to ensure safety for athletes, guests, officials, partners, and spectators.

Meanwhile, PFL Africa has intensified fan engagement activities across Lagos ahead of the debut, rolling out gym activations, street campaigns, media engagements, and community experiences aimed at building momentum and expanding awareness of MMA across the continent.

The Professional Fighters League’s debut event in Nigeria is expected to rank among the largest MMA showcases ever staged in West Africa.
