Rima Strikers, Defenders Babes boost chances

RIMA Strikers, Police Machine, D Defenders, Lagos Seasiders and Confluence Queens won their games in yesterday’s Match day 10 in the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball Premier League holding at the M.K.O. Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Rima Strikers, Police Machine, D Defenders, Lagos Seasiders and Confluence Queens won their games in yesterday’s Match day 10 in the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball Premier League holding at the M.K.O. Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Rima Strikers created an upset after defeating one of the title contenders, Lagos Seasiders 26 to 22 to climb up the ladder of the table in the opening fixture of the male category clash.

In the other games played, Confluence Stars succumbed to the superiority of the defender champions, Safety Shooters 22 to 26, while D Defenders improved their chances in this year’s premier league when they beat Plateau Vipers 26 to 18, as Police Machine outmuscled Kada Stars 37 to 30.

However, Defender Babes outshone Confluence Queens 31 to 24 in the female class played yesterday.

Matches will continue today on Day 11 of the premier league with Kada Queens taking on Plateau Peacocks, Defender Babes tackle Edo Dynamos, as Confluence Queens will square up against Safety Babes and Imo Grasshoppers taking on the defending champions, Adorable Angels a tough duel for the two sides in the female fixtures fixed for today.

The male cadre will see Police Machine take on Kano Pillars, Niger United will battle D Defenders, as Kada Stars have a clash against Tojemarine Academy and COAS Shooters battle Confluence Stars.
