Rivers Hoopers battle Niger Potters as NBBF Presidents Cup Final Eight dunks off

The 2019 NBBF President Cup Final Eight Championship began yesterday inside the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium, Lagos with defending champions, Rivers Hoopers, drawn with Niger Potters, Civil Defenders and Benue Braves in Group A.

The 2019 NBBF President Cup Final Eight Championship began yesterday inside the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium, Lagos with defending champions, Rivers Hoopers, drawn with Niger Potters, Civil Defenders and Benue Braves in Group A.

The KingsMen will play their opening Group A game against Niger Potters today at 4.00 p.m. before meeting Benue Braves and Civil Defenders respectively.

Hoopers, who are on a five-game winning streak from the first phase of the NBBF President Cup in Ilorin, will hope to claim the only automatic slot awarded to Nigeria for the Basketball Africa League billed for March 2020.
 
Kwara Falcons, who also finished unbeaten in the first phase in Ilorin, have been grouped alongside Lagos Islanders, Nigeria Army and Raptors in Group B.
