Rivers United not under pressure to face Al Hilal FC — Rivers Utd captain
Rivers United captain, Festus Austin, has said that his teammates are not under any pressure in today’s crucial tie away to Al Hilal FC of Sudan holding in Egypt. The match is the second leg fixture of the CAF Champions League.
The Nigerian side was forced to a 1-1 draw in the first leg played last weekend at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt,
Austin, who said that football is a game of commitment and focus that enables every team to excel playing either at home or away, called on football loving Nigerians to still have faith in Rivers United.
He assured fans of the club that they will beat Al Hilal and secure the ticket to the second round of the competition.
“The second leg tie is very important and crucial to the team. We will not disappoint Nigerians. Rivers United will give their best to claim victory away from home.
“All hope is not lost. Getting away victory is possible to move to the next stage of the CAF Championship,” he said.
He also that Rivers United players are in high sprit to give their opponent a good fight in the 27,000 capacity Suez Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt.
