Yemisi Olatunji, Nigeria’s number one female squash player, said on Friday that her sister, Busayo, was threatening her ambition of retaining the prime position in 2019.

Olatunji, who dropped this hint in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, noted that being number one continuously kept her on her toes.

“As number one player, the only position you can get to is second position; so, Play and win chess it’s constantly in my head.

“That pushes me to work harder; it has worked for me, I’m not going to relent anytime soon.

“If you paid close attention to last year, my sister Busayo was always close, Horse Betting Odds coming first runner up,” said Olatunji.

She described her sister as a hard worker and currently one of the biggest contenders for the number one position.

“In 2018, Busayo played against me in some finals and believe me, when I say it was tough.

“She knows me, she sees me train; so, at the moment, sports betting she is a challenge,’’ the number one player said.

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) ranked sure virtual betting player said she would expect more competitions to sharpen her competitive skills.

“My fear is that we won’t have enough tournaments both home and abroad.

“You know it has been hard getting new sponsors; Play Chess Bet Games and Win Big! we players have only been thriving due to goodwill from few enthusiasts of the sport.

“We just need more competitions and more sponsors, to further develop squash in the country,” Olatunji said.
