Team Yellow Wins Rotary Sports Festival volleyball tournament

The Rotary Sports Festival 2025 (ROSFEST’25) volleyball finals took place on March 1, 2025, at the National Institute of Sports mini sports complex, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. Organized by Rotary District 9112 Nigeria under pioneer District Governor Rotarian Olufemi Sonekan, the festival features multiple sports, culminating in a grand finale on March 7.

In a thrilling final match, Team Yellow edged out Team White 2-1 after a tough three-set battle. The game, officiated by National Volleyball Federation representative Mr. Sunday Nathaniel, showcased great teamwork and sportsmanship.

The event was attended by ROSFEST’25 Chairman, Past President Alozie Nsirimobi, and brought together Rotarians and families from Lagos and Ogun States, strengthening bonds and promoting wellness.
ROSFEST’25 aims to enhance the physical and mental well-being of Rotarians while fostering friendship and peace. Looking ahead, ROSFEST’26 plans to expand with inter-district competitions.

Reflecting on the event, Rotarian (Dr.) Lukman Olusesi, General Secretary of ROSFEST’25 and Team Captain, emphasized the unifying power of sports and Rotary’s commitment to fitness, fun, and fellowship.
