Belgian side, Beerschot-Wiljrik are on top of the list of teams fighting to sign Nigerian/Beninoise midfielder, Bello Rouchane Alani.

Alani helped his club, ESAE FC of Benin Republic, to win the FA Cup and also posted good performances in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The creative midfielder, who has recorded five goals and several assists for the Benin top side, has become one of the most sought after players in Africa after leading ESAE FC to the money spinning group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup in the 2019/20 football season.

The 19-year-old 1.95m natural left-footer has made total dedication to his club’s commitments his top priority, according to his agent, Ramone Remmie Ashiru.

According to Ashiru, “We declined advances from some foreign clubs and even top clubs within Africa so that he could concentrate and made the right choice when the time is right.

“ESAE FC declined several offers for Bello Rouchdane in January winter 2020 transfer window due to the key role he’s playing in the team’s campaign in the CAF Confederations Cup. The agreement was for him to finish the current season with them while they will then review the offers on the table for the tallish creative midfielder during the summer transfer window.”

Apart from Belgian clubs, Ashiru revealed that other top European teams from Croatia, Israel, Portugal, Austria and Serbia are also monitoring the progress of the player.

Bello Rouchdane, who is eligible to play for both Nigeria and Benin Republic, is yet to play for any of the two at international level despite being persuaded by Benin Republic FA with several official invitations to their Under-20, U-23 and senior national teams.
