U.S.-based promoter tips ‘TP Rock’ to rule boxing world
Professional boxing promoter and manager in the United States, Nelson Aiyelabowo, has expressed optimism about the chances of one of his light heavyweight boxers, Tope Tajudeen Musa, aka ‘TP Rock,’ dominating the boxing world with his recent killer form.
The Abuja-born boxer, who had five knockouts from his six fights before joining the Ayelabowo stable, has now established himself as a world-class fighter with impressive 12 knockout wins in his 13 fights. He recently knocked out Ghanaian fighter, Emmanuel Quartey.
The Nigerian-American professional boxing manager was full of commendation for TP Rock, describing him as the likely next Floyd Mayweather Jr. that will come out of Nigeria.
He hinges his optimism on the wealth of experience the boxer has garnered working with him, saying Tope Musa is definitely a name to keep an eye on in boxing.
Aiyelabowo, who is the mastermind of one the most talented management companies in boxing, not only in Africa but also the entire world, currently has in his stable Anthony Yigit of Sweden, Manyo Plange of Ghana, Efe Apochi of Nigeria, Emile Kalekuzi of Congo, Habib Ahmed of Ghana, Onoriode Ehwarieme and the newest Nigerian heavyweight sensation, Solomon Imole.
Having worked with topnotch promoters and managers like Don King Promotions, PBC, Top Rank, and others, the Nigerian-American, who is a Director at LPMG Global, said he is leaving nothing to chance to ensure that he becomes the most sought-after professional boxing promoter, cum manager, by churning out more boxing champions.
