We shall continue from the last introductory part of the message titled “Abundance of Rain”.

In this series, Rev Samuel Udeme Ebukiba, (aka Finger of God) the chairman of Conference United Evangelical Church worldwide (Founded as Qua Iboe Church) ministering at the First Quarter Holy Communion services of the United Evangelical church Rumuomasi Superintendency Port Harcourt Rivers State on Sunday 19th January 2020, charges the congregation at United Evangelical Church Rumuomasi Township in Port Harcourt Rivers State and the entire united church family worldwide on “BELIEVING GOD FOR THE ABUNDANCE OF RAIN.”

This is what faith is all about. You’ve got to believe what you hear in your heart and in your spirit, even when what you see is the opposite. You hear abundance, but you may see lack. You hear health, but you may see sickness. You hear the rain, but you may look around and see drought. I’m sure Ahab thought, “Old Elijah, the heat must be getting to him because there’s not a cloud in the sky. It’s not going to rain.”

It’s easy to talk yourself out of what God wants to do. God is saying, “There’s about to be an abundance of favour in your life, abundance of success in your life, and abundance of fruitfulness. The drought is coming to an end. You’re going to see healing, restoration, new opportunities and new growth.” Above all, there shall be a rain of righteousness.

2 Chronicles 20:20 King James Version (KJV)
20 And they rose early in the morning and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Belief in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Life is made up of our belief system. Some people may choose not to believe, even after hearing. I am presuming that you have already received the life of God by trusting Christ. That is always the first step. You cannot grow in your faith and belief without having Christ on the throne of your life and being obedient to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. What we are looking at in this series is going beyond faith for salvation to believing God for the miraculous and expecting answers to prayer going on in your day-to-day life. Faith and belief in God are like a muscle that only grows by exercise. Begin to take steps of faith every day. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you opportunities to express your faith. Take time each day to pray for those around you, asking God to open their hearts to the things of God.

Now, don’t be like King Ahab and look around, saying, “No, I don’t think so.” “The medical report is still bad.” “My child is still acting up.” “I’ll never meet the right person.” No. Why don’t you be like Elijah and have a boldness to believe what God has deposited in your heart? Why don’t you start declaring; the rain is coming, favour is coming, this is my year to bloom, this is my year to blossom and flourish! The God of abundance will locate you and position you for abundance of favour, blessings beyond measure, all-round your life and destiny in Jesus Name. “AMEN.”
