Children show creativity at exhibition competition
No doubt children are naturally endowed with different abilities and can be uniquely creative, if given the right tools and space to thrive and develop their talents.
Nigerian children are highly talented and this they often demonstrate in the various ways they express themselves in arts, science, technology and fashion, among others.
An opportunity for the kids to show their creativity was recently offered by the Indomie Fan Club (IFC) at a creative exhibition tagged, ‘Team Yourself Up’, where the children stand a chance of winning a wide range of fantastic prizes.
The exhibition, in its fourth edition, aims to celebrate children’s creative works through their entries. For this year, participants were required to team up with any person of their choice to create something unique, using empty noodle wrappers, cartons or both. Participants were permitted to send in multiple entries before the deadline on September 25.
Prizes earmarked for the competition, which recorded over 40,000 entries, include gifts for all participants, a grand prize of an all-expense paid trip to Dubai with a loved one, the sum of N100, 000 for the first place winner, N75, 000 to the first runner up and N50, 000 to the second runner up. The best creative works of art from Lagos, Ogun and Abuja will also win N35, 000 each, while there are lots of other consolation prizes.
IFC National Coordinator, Faith Joshua, said the exhibition served as a platform to stimulate and expose children’s creativity, as well as promote the recycling culture in them.
He explained that the competition is also geared towards strengthening the bond between the children and their loved ones.
Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Dufil Prima Foods, Tope Ashiwaju, said they are a child-centric brand and will continue to support causes and initiatives that help children’s mental and physical development and ensure they are happy.
