The Francis Ibhawoh Foundation has presented this year’s winners of its yearly essay competition for undergraduates their awards. The event, which held at Protea Hotel, Benin City, attracted stakeholders in educational sector.

Commending the students, Dr. Victor Asibor, said the late Mr. Francis Ibhawoh gave credence to education and tried to ensure everyone around him is educated.

Announcing the winners, Gerard Ibhawoh noted that the winners were selected after they satisfied the governing board in the essays they submitted.

The winners are: Sunday Jatto (600 level pharmacy), Izebe Evbogame (400 level Dentistry) and Malcom Emwanta (400 level Medicine and Surgery), all from the University of Benin. Giving the acceptance speech, Izebe Evbogame thanked the Foundation for creating such an opportunity to appreciate students who dared to differentiate themselves from the crowd.
