FUTO Alumni Association Unveils Mentorship Scheme
Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Alumni Association (FUTOAA), has announced its determination to launch and sustain mentorship scheme in collaboration with the school authorities to provide jobs for its graduates.
Briefing journalists during the week, the president of the association, Elochukwu Austin Okeke, said the scheme is to encourage FUTO students aspire for good grades, adding that the association would in a few months time be inaugurated in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Enugu and Lagos, while talks are ongoing on the formation of its Calgary Canada chapter.
Listing some of the school’s graduates that have lifted the name of the school high, Okeke, said, the theme of the week’s celebration, “FUTO: Entrepreneurship Awareness And Quest For Excellence” was designed to address the needs of the nation.
