I am a shining light – Part 1

Scientist has proven that light is the fastest thing on earth. The speed of light in a vacuum is 186,282 miles per second (299,792 kilometres per second), and in theory, nothing can travel faster than light. In miles per hour, light speed is, well, a lot: about 670,616,629 mph. If you could travel at the speed of light, you could go around the Earth 7.5 times in one second. To be a light is to be righteous, pure, transparent, and visible. As a child of light or as a light, you stay above the darkness and the storms of life. Oftentimes, Jesus appears as light in the Bible.

And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: Acts 9:3

His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. Daniel 10:6

As a light, your existence cannot be denied or refused; you are lifted above circumstances because God sustains you. You cannot live in confusion or frustration, neither can you be abandoned, bewitched or cursed (Daniel 6:5). It is to be faultless and blessed beyond curse.

Light gives you understanding, it opens your eyes to see who you are in Christ Jesus. Jesus operated as the light of the world (John 14:3). Daniel operated on the platform of light and was a light in his days (Daniel 2:19-22). Revelations are products of light a man carries.

In the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Daniel 9:2

“The brightness of your light is the brightness of your life.” A life illuminated by the word is a lighted life and a shining light. What put men in ranks has to do with the level of light. The level of your production depends on the level of your light (Luke 4:1-22).

It takes light to have direction, (Luke 5:1-5). A tired and frustrated Peter caught nothing all through the night. It was not because the ship was bad or that the net was not good, but he lacked understanding, a light or illumination of where to put the net or where the fishes are to have a net break miracle at that time. (Psalm 107: 23-24, Psalm 42: 7)

You are not blessed because you know when he speaks or that you can pray. As good as these things are, it is because you heard what God said, had a clear illumination and understanding of what He said and knows what to do and how to do it. That is what generates success.

His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk. Genesis 49:12

God speaking about a lighted man said his eyes shall be red as wine – that is spiritual intoxication. You are out of this world by the depth and value of the light you carry. Depth of what no man can see except via the instrument of light. Yokes are broken, captives are set free and the blind receive their sight. That is why the Bible says, “you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” Locate light and you will be free.

And in this mountain, shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. 

And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. 

He will swallow up death in victory, and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it (Isaiah 25:6-8).
