Adeboye tasks lawyers, politicians, others on mercy, godly value

The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has called on the members of the legal profession, politicians and Nigerians, as a whole to always show mercy when carrying out their duties.

Adeboye gave the charge during his church’s September Thanksgiving service with the theme “Divine Mercy,” held at The Throne of Grace Parish, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

He noted that God’s mercy is unlimited and flows from everlasting to everlasting, adding that we are alive today, not because we are clever, but because of God’s mercy, saying that the scriptures say that it is not of him that willeth or he that runneth, but of God who showeth mercy.

Commenting on the theme, the Special Adviser to the General Overseer on Administration and also, Pastor-in- Charge of Region One, Dele Balogun, disclosed that members of the legal profession were invited to be anointed, prayed for, and also to remind them of the need to perform their duties with mercy and the fear of God.

“In dispensing justice, they must ensure there is fairness and equity and if we want justice in this nation, they have a critical role to play” he said.

He, also, called on Nigerians to show mercy to one another, be resilient, hardworking, shun sin and evil practices, adding that Nigeria will not disintegrate and will soon come out from the woods.
He disclosed that the parish recently showed mercy to the less privileged with the distribution of bags of rice to over 2,000 people.
