Adeboye tasks students, others, on diligence, greatness in life

The General Overseer, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has called on the youth, particularly students to know that there is no mediocrity in the dictionary of anyone who desires to be great in life, let alone exceedingly great, which is achievable through diligence.

He said this during the monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, where he spoke on the subject, “Exceedingly Great” and prayed for students of all categories.

Adeboye said for anyone to be great or exceedingly great, the aspirant must be focused, hardworking, diligent and prayerful.

“In God’s plan for man, there is no impossibility, especially if you belong to Him, having surrendered your life to Jesus.Once you have done that, you are destined to be exceedingly great.

“However, it should be noted that after you fulfilled the initial condition, you do not go to sleep and shift your focus, but to continue to work hard and be prayerful. Relaxation from any of these would end up in disappointment or frustration because in heaven, there is no room for laziness,” he said

Adeboye dropped the hint that no one can become great in life without knowing where he is going, which is best decided in once youth, though there is no age barrier to becoming great or exceedingly great.

Citing Jacob in the Bible, who became exceedingly great after conceding to the prerequisites of being focused, hardworking, diligent and prayerful, he said no amount of knowing God that can make any student to succeed in the examinations without studying hard
