The two-day yearly international programme of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries tagged: “From Sorrow To Joy” ended last Sunday at the church’s headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos. The interdenominational event witnessed a large turnout of worshippers from within and outside the country.

The governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, his wife and Hon. Emmanuel Oghene Egoh representing Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, were among dignitaries at the programme.

Agbaje told journalists that he was in the church to identify with the ministry’s 16th anniversary, as well as hear testimonies of those that moved ‘From Sorrow To Joy.’ He prayed that Lagos State and the entire country would move ‘From Sorrow To Joy.’ He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other security agencies to do their work and be fair in the conduct of the elections.

He said: “We cannot run our democracy based on rigging and violence. It is important we allow our people come out and vote and let the people’s will be done. If they make mistakes now, they will have the opportunity to correct them during the next election. That is the beauty of democracy.”
