Last Sunday, the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries (TLCCRM) witnessed a huge crowd of worshippers at it headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos, as friends, members and non-members came in their numbers to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the church.
Appreciating God for what He has been doing for them, members from different branches of the church took turns to share their testimonies of miracles, thereafter, different groups numbering 30 came out for thanksgiving, starting with the Church Council members to the General Overseer’s family. It was a unique occasion to behold, as each group appreciated God with gifts ranging from cash, cow to electronics, and chairs, among others.
Speaking on the theme: “Appreciating What The Lord Has Done” the General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, said those the Lord has redeemed should show appreciation to their maker with everything they have, adding that when one appreciates God, He will do more for His people.
The cleric recalled how the church began at 16, Odunaike Street, Ilasamaja, Lagos, from where it moved to its current permanent site at Ijesha.
Muoka said: “The church stared on December 24, 2002, with a few individuals in a very small place at No. 16, Odunaike Street, IIasamaja, Lagos. God being the owner of His church, started directing people in their hundreds and thousands to a point that the whole street was filled with worshippers. As the number continued to increase landlords/landladies and school owners in the area began to open their gates for worshippers to sit and listen to God’s message.
“However, in that situation, some people were not happy with us and we started searching for a bigger place and not long, we got here. By God’s grace we have been here since August 2003. Again, the congregation continued to grow and extended to the express, so, we began to look for more land until in a revelation an old man appeared to me and said, ‘have you considered the portion at the back of the church.’ After this revelation, we looked for the owner of the land, had some discussions and finally bought the land. It was after this that every other person that had a property here begun to sell them to us. So, what we are seeing in this ministry is the Finger of God and I want to let you know that The Lord’s Chosen has spread like wildfire. We give God all the glory because ‘Only God Can Do This.”
Talking about how he had navigated stormy waters in the ministry and also in other countries where the church exists, he said: “We are in over 100 nations of the world including Nigeria. Definitely, there is no man who could have done this, if not God.
“The point is that we have seen great wonders of the Lord these 21 years of operation and it is worth celebrating because when we look back, we can say that God has really done so much for us. We give all the glory, honour, adoration to the One who has called us, established members, established pastors, controls this great multitude of people worldwide. God has used this ministry to save lives, healed terrible sicknesses/diseases and is still manifesting His power. Every member of the Lord’s Chosen is a miracle worker, confirming the word of God,” he said.
