What is Fruitful? It means to be fertile. To be fruitful is to be plenteous. Being fruitful is manifesting success. God takes delight in you being fruitful and frowns at unfruitfulness.

Text: Genesis 1:26-28; Colossians 3:12-13
Key Verse: Mathew 25: 23 “His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (KJV).

What is Fruitful? It means to be fertile. To be fruitful is to be plenteous. Being fruitful is manifesting success. God takes delight in you being fruitful and frowns at unfruitfulness.

In Mathew Chapter 25, a Master gave three of his servants five talents, two talents and one talent respectively and travelled to a far country. While he was away, he that had five talents traded with it and got five more talents, making 10 and likewise he that had two talents got two more talents to make four talents. But he that received one went and hid it in the ground and did not trade with it (no talent).

When their master returned and called his servants to come and give an account of the talents given to them before he travelled. They all gave accounts of what they did with the talents given to them. Their master applauded the two servants that invested their talents and got more. He said to them, “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things” (Mathew 25:21,23). To the servant whom he gave one talent that went and hid it, the master said, “Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents”(Mathew 25:28). The unfruitful servant was cast into outer darkness, where there was weeping and gnashing of teeth.

God cut off fruitless branches and reward fruitfulness, as you can see from the above passage and other scriptural verses in the Bible. God having donated His Dominion to man to exercise on earth on His behalf, do you think that He will expect anything else less than being fruitful? No, He does not. Bill Gate became great by using ‘Window’ popularly known as Microsoft. The launch of Windows 95, 20 years ago, redefined home computing and began a golden age for Bill Gate’s company. On August 24, 1995, Windows 95 was released to the public, beginning a revolution that has helped shaped the technology world for the next two decades.

If Bill Gate became great by just a window known as ‘Windows 95,’ how much more have you achieved using the ‘open door’ God had given to you? God invested so much in creating you, so He does not expect anything less than being fruitful for you. He designed you so that people shall be paying for your thinking.

Are you a food maker or food seller or food eater? Food eaters complain. Fruitfulness is not only in childbearing. Stop having physical babies alone, start producing a brainchild. A brainchild is your product. It is the outcome of your productive thinking.

In Mathew 25, the master of the three servants gave rulership to the two servants that did very well with the talents given to them. God called us to rulership, 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

We were born to rule, but we lost it through Adam and it was restored by the new Adam – Jesus Christ. God gave Man dominion in Genesis Chapter 1 and it means that no circumstance has power over your life.
How do you become fruitful?

Mathew Chapter 25 gives us a clear picture of how you can become fruitful. You become fruitful by putting your God’s given endowment to work. If you are not fruitful with what you have, you shall lose what you have.

Today’s Nugget: You become fruitful by putting your God-given endowment to work.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be a profitable servant.
