Text: John 14:1-3; Revelation 22:20-21.

Key Verse: John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (KJV)

The Second Coming of Jesus is the event that is called the ‘Blessed Hope of all True Believers.’ It is also called the ‘Rapture.’ Without it, Christianity means nothing, and Christians have believed in vain. Jesus is coming! Skeptics and scoffers deny that fact, but they can’t change the truth of it. Jesus is coming, and He is coming soon. This is not a childhood game! Eternity is at stake! Ready or Not, Here He Comes!

Over 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ came to the earth for the redemption of lost humanity. He died on the cross of Calvary in order to pay the price to redeem mankind from their sins, so that now, anyone who believes in Him is saved from the wrath of God that is coming upon the earth and those who dwell on it. On the third day, after His death, He rose again. Fifty days later, He ascended into Heaven with a promise that He is Coming Back Again. The purpose of His Second Coming is to take away (rapture) those who believed in Him and lived for Him here on earth.

To qualify for Christ’s second coming, you must repent from your sins and be converted unto God. Are you among those Jesus shall receive unto Himself in Heaven? Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. It is better late than never, you can make amend today and return to God in repentance. Give up your sins, because it shall prevent you from meeting with Jesus in Heaven. Revelation 21:27 says, “Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

Many believers in Christ today seem to be losing consciousness of the fact that Jesus is coming back again. Gone are the days, when Christians greet one another with maranatha, which means “the Lord cometh.” Expect His return any moment from now.

Where are the periodic or constant rapture dreams of Christians? What has dethroned that rapture consciousness? What fills your mind can influence your type of dreams. For instance, your mind may be filled with the thoughts of mundane things of this world, purchase of skyscrapers and jets, accumulation of wealth, etc. Lest we forget, we are strangers here. Let us plan as if we have 200 more years to live on earth, but live your life as if rapture will happen in the next second. The Bible tells us in Mathew 24:42 that the coming of Christ is imminent, which means that it could happen at any moment. Mathew 24:36 tells us that neither Jesus nor the angels know the hour, when Jesus shall come back again, but only known to God only. His coming will be like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2). “Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come” (Mark 13:33).

If you are going to be ready for anything, be ready for the Rapture. If you are going to be looking for anything, be looking for Jesus in the Rapture. If you miss the Rapture, you will burn your soul in Hell. Your only hope is to be saved today! Come to Jesus now! Run to Jesus while there is time. Come while He calls you. Come now!

Today’s Nugget: If you are going to be ready for anything, be ready for the Rapture.
Prayer: O Lord, help me to live in consciousness of your return in Jesus Name, Amen.
