The Primate of the Church of Nigeria, the Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba has mourned the demise of the new Bishop of the Diocese of Oke-osun, the Right Rev Foluso Taiwo, and urged the Church to uphold his wife, the family and the good people of Oke-Osun Diocese in prayer at this trying period.

Bishop Taiwo, who passed on at 1:15am on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Babcock Hospital Sagamu, was consecrated Bishop on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Asaba by the immediate past Primate of the Church of Nigeria, the Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh, after serving as the Director of Communication of the Church of Nigeria from January 2, 2009.

He was a notable broadcaster, who started his media career in 1980 at Radio Nigeria, Ibadan, as a freelance journalist and Newscaster before he was employed as a Reporter/Editor/Newscaster and HOA Correspondent under the Television Service of Oyo State (TSOS).

He grew in his field, working in several media outfits, such as Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), and Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC). He later moved to Abuja, where he became the General Manager of the Crowther Radio Station, from where he was appointed the Director of Communication of the Church of Nigeria. He was also a newscaster at the Anglican Cable Network Nigeria (ACNN) TV and an Archdeacon in the Diocese of Abuja, until he was elected and consecrated Bishop of Oke-Osun Diocese last year.
