The Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Rev Henry Ndukuba has cautioned members against disregarding necessary protocols on COVID-19, due to the relaxed lockdown.

The Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Rev Henry Ndukuba has cautioned members against disregarding necessary protocols on COVID-19, due to the relaxed lockdown. This came as a result of the rising number of COVID-19 patients in the country.

In a statement made available by the Church’s General Secretary, the Ven. Dr. Gershinen Paul Dajur, the Primate enjoined all Archbishops and Bishops to continue to sensitise their priests and members on the need to remain cautious and take personal responsibility in adhering to such protocols as personal hygiene, washing of hands, physical distancing, wearing of face masks, and avoiding crowded places.

The Primate said: “We should all stay safe and stay alive, for prevention is better than cure.”

He assured the Church of his prayers and support during the pandemic and called on everyone to continue to prayerfully look up to God Almighty for deliverance.
