Priest in charge of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Lekki, Lagos, Msgr. Gabriel Osu has commended Federal Government’s efforts at sanitising the nation’s judiciary.

Speaking during the Harvest Thanksgiving Mass of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Lekki, Msgr Osu, who is also the Director of Social Communications, Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, said there is urgent need to bring back sanity to the judiciary, which has been riddled by corruption over the years, warning that except all the bad eggs and their collaborators are weeded off, peace would continue to elude the land.

He said: “A judge is supposed to be a man or woman of impeccable character, slow to anger, tactful and firm in disposition. He/she must also be incorruptible and impartial in the dispensation of justice. Over the years, Nigeria has been privileged to have a handful of judges that are blessed with some of these attributes.
