I believe there’s a lot to learn from the long, chequered and eventful life of David. It should also be noted that having Faith in God overcomes trials. David had faith and he trusted God so heartily.

As a believer, your faith must be tried, and you must continue to pray and align with God, so it won’t fail you. We are on earth to fight a war and in this battle, there’s no discharge: hardships must be faced, and for you to reign, you must fight. When you are thrown into the sea of life, you either drown or swim out through faith in Christ Jesus. Jesus said, “In the world, you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Don’t expect to always have a life of ease, but with Jesus victory is sure.

Though we shall go through tribulations, faith is an available God’s resource at all times. Faith is a shield that wards off every arrow of the enemies and every fiery dart. Faith can help you when you are cast into any condition. Confiding in God is paramount because He has a promise suitable for every stage of your life. God’s wisdom and faithfulness will always save you from all possible jeopardy. Your own fault may have brought trouble upon you, but faith is still available for you. Your affliction may be as a result of chastisement for grievous sins, still, trust in God. Jesus prayed for erring Peter that his faith would not fail him.

Having faith in God as a Saint is easier, but it’s very hard for a sinner. You can be able to trust God without difficulty when your garments are not stained. You can be corrected by God’s rod when you step aside from doing His Will, then it will be faith indeed to cast yourself upon God again. Faith saves and it should be exercised. If you have sinned, have faith in God’s pardoning grace, and you will be forgiven, but never go back to your vomit. Trust in God’s mercy, when your sin has brought great distress and pain. Do not doubt God, for He beckons to His children that have to backslide.
