Resurrection and life

Prophet Sunday O. Nwabeke

John 11:24-26 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the RESURRECTION and the LIFE.

The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Resurrection is NOT an experience of being raised from physical death, it is a Divine Person. The Person of Christ is that which dissolves the illusion of death, and to experience resurrection is to experience that Person.

To the degree we come into fellowship with Christ is to the degree we experience resurrection.

Life is NOT the number of years that a man lives on earth. Life is the nature and Substance of God and it is a Person called Christ. To experience Life is to experience Christ.

A man can live for 100 years and never experienced true life, which is to encounter God in Christ.

If we really know this in truth then our battle for long life will cease because we shall begin to walk in the recognition that we live in Him and death has no power over us. For death is not physical but spiritual. It is the separation of a soul from God.

The subject of resurrection and Life is the Quantum physics of the gospel. That is why asked Mary if she really believed it! The apostles were all persecuted and martyred for their teachings on the subject of resurrection and Life not for their teachings on prosperity and material blessings.

Prosperity and blessing are not bad on their own but, they are not the everlasting Gospel. The prosperity and blessing of God are beyond materiality.

Armed with this, we begin to live eternally even while on the earth. Those who have this experience, though some will ‘die’ in this world, yet they will live again in the RESURRECTION.

And there are some who, walking in this light of revelation, will not even experience physical death, which is really an illusion, rather they will be changed as they keep hearing the everlasting gospel hidden in the angelic trumpet:

Revelation 14:6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the EVERLASTING GOSPEL to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—

1 Corinthians 15:52-53 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last TRUMP: for the TRUMPET shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.

Those who have developed their ears to hear the trumpet are experiencing resurrection and immortality. And the trumpet is that gospel in which is hidden the VOICE of JESUS: John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

The gospel that resurrects us is not the gospel of belly and bread, which is largely preached nor the gospel of legalism that condemns but the gospel of Life and Spirit that Jesus brought.

In fact, it was food (and physical care) that brought man down in Genesis. John 6:49 Your fathers did eat MANNA in the wilderness, and are dead.
