We’re celebrating 30 years of rescuing men, women from mouths of lions, says Olukoya

General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has urged members of the church who had gathered at the thanksgiving service to mark the 30th anniversary of Onike International headquarters in Yaba, Lagos to relax and wait for the bigger celebration of the ministry in August this year, when the church will be 35 years.

The General Overseer disclosed this, while addressing worshippers at the event. Speaking briefly before the thanksgiving celebrations commenced, the General Overseer gave a brief history of the location, now known as the MFM International Headquarters. He explained that the piece of land with which the Ministry started its international headquarters, was discovered by his mechanic (who later became a member and is today, a pastor in the Church), informed him that the owner of the plot wanted to sell it in 1994.

The landlord, according to Olukoya asked for N120,000 for the plot, whereas, where he was working then at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba, he was earning less than N300 per month.

The cleric said that, “God raised a sister, who did not know that we wanted to buy the land to pay for the land. The sister had sold something and brought exactly N120,000 as her tithe and we bought the land, which is today, Auditorium A.”

Amid cheers and praises to God, the man of God said that the branch is celebrating 30 years of kingdom expansion —kingdom spread; 30 years of destinies being restored and of promotion, while the whole church will be celebrating 35 years in August.

Olukoya said: “There are people here, who can confirm that without MFM, they would have been dead. We are celebrating thirty years of rescuing men and women from the mouths of lions. Here people are getting married and also receiving mysterious promotions.”

He noted that MFM has increased the voltage of prayers in Christendom, among other good things the Lord has used the Ministry to do in the lives of His people.

He said, “because of these, we are going to praise God today” and really, it was praises galore, as different praise teams took time to lead praises and worshippers danced to the glory of God. Olukoya also disclosed that the monthly programme of the church with the theme:Power Must Change Hands, will be 30 years old next year.

“Today, the MFM International headquarters occupy over 70 plots of land, which is over 17,150 square meters. This is minus some other adjoining halls and auditoria that belong to the church, where services are held simultaneously, with the main auditorium during programmes. MFM is the biggest private organisation in the entire Onike, Iwaya, Bariga, Somolu, Ebute Meta and Yaba axis,” he disclosed.
