Why the enemy may refuse to submit

All the struggles of men in this world are geared toward emancipating themselves from the entanglement brought about by the influence of the enemies such as poverty, sicknesses, disappointment, barrenness, divorce and insanity, among others.

It has been discovered that men are incapable of helping themselves from these debilitating situations, which they are subjected to by their enemies. Thus, they depend upon God to subdue their enemies. So, whenever man notices enemies’ presence, he quickly calls upon God, Who by the greatness of His power causes the enemies to submit.

But the fact remains that it is not all calls or prayers made to God that receive answers, for there are conditions to be met before one could be assured his prayers against his enemies have been heard and the enemies would submit in due course. Many people who could not meet this condition and thus receive no answer to their prayers have concluded that God does not answer prayers like in the days that Elijah prayed and rain ceased for three years and he prayed again and rain fell (1Kg 17: 1, James 5: 17). Or in the days when Joshua prayed that the sun and moon should stand still until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies and it was so. (Joshua 10: 12-13) They argued that the era of quick answer to prayers is gone. Hence, they lost hope in miracles and unnatural supply of divine provision.

But despite their apathy, the fact remains that God answers prayers. As He answered the people of old, so also He answers people of this generation. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. (Heb. 13: 8) He answers prayers in accordance with the same condition He did in the old. However, the condition is that one must conform to His nature of righteousness and holiness before answer would be given. And until one complies with God’s principles and conditions, His enemies will not be forced to submit.

Ps 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”
This is the main reason why our prayers are not answered. If you regard iniquity in your heart, or, having seen it to be there, continue to gaze upon it without aversion, God will not hear you. If you cherish it, have love toward it and excuse it, the Lord will not hear you and your enemies will not submit. Of course, He cannot hear you while you wilfully cling to evil ways!

Nothing hinders prayer like iniquity conceived in the heart. Sin blocks our communion with God and hinders His hand from delivering us. If you listen to the devil, God will not listen to you. If you are looking at sin and indulging in it, instead of looking at Jesus the Author and Finisher of your faith, God will not look at your side and therefore will ignore your predicament. (Heb. 12: 1-2) If you refuse to hear God’s commands, He will surely refuse to hear your prayers. (John 9:31) For one to think that God will accept his devotions, while he delights in sin is to think that God is a hypocrite. If you want your enemies to submit at the special divine intervention programme titled: ‘And The Enemies Submitted,’ you must renounce all forms of wickedness and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord.

The reason some people have not experienced total freedom from their enemies is not because they are not engaging in prayers, but that iniquity has separated them from God. It is not the quantity of prayers made that matters, but the quality of your life that determines what you get from God. Therefore, so long the love of sin possesses your heart, your love to spiritual things will be dull, heavy and inactive.

Isaiah 59: 1-3 says, “Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear 3. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.”

When men give themselves to evil, deceit, cruelty, extortion, and inordinate affection, God will show His anger and not accept their prayers. If their prayers are not answered, and their enemies refuse to submit, it is not because God is weary of hearing prayers or delivering His people, but because there is iniquity in their heart, which has become a stumbling block to God’s answer.

Beloved, sin is so abominable and so destructive to men’s souls and it brings men to their knees before their enemies. If, therefore, you want your enemies to submit, you must obey the God Almighty, Whose power alone could cause your enemies to submit.

Isaiah 1: 15-17 says, “And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16 “Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.”

If you want your enemy to submit, you must not align yourself with his precept and principle. You must abhor all forms of evil and conform yourself with the status of God, which is absolute holiness. You will not only feel sorrowful for the sin committed, but must break off from the practices that are associated with your old life. You must be seen doing the good that the Lord Almighty requires because practical righteousness is an open attestation of faithfulness.

I do not know the sin you are into, but I am sure that when you sincerely repent from your sin, and then conform to the status of God, your enemies will be made to submit to you. It does not matter how deep you have engaged yourself in that evil, or your mind painting a negative picture of the unwillingness of God to forgive you. I want you to understand that though your sins have been as scarlet and crimson, God will make you whole. So, it is only your refusal to repent that will cause the enemy not to submit.

How God Gave Me Victory Over Occult Business Partner
MY name is Brother Anayo (surname withheld). I reside in Kano State, and had a joint business with a member of my former church. At a point, I discovered that the man was an occultist. So, I decided to separate from him.

We separated all other things, except for the land we bought in Awka. The deed of that land bore our two names. When I persuaded him that we should sell the land, he refused initially but later agreed. So, I contacted about three people in Kano that were interested in the land. When I informed him that I have found buyers, he said I should get him photocopy of the land document, which I took to him. Then he said I should go and collect the money from the buyers. Surprisingly, when I approached them for payment, they all declined to buy the land. The same happened with other people. As soon as I asked them to pay, the next thing I would hear was that they were no longer interested.

I became confused and sensing it was not ordinary, I sought the intervention of Pastors, some even went with me to the land at Akwa and prayed. Some of them said I should bring the sand from the land to Kano, which I did that and they prayed. After all the prayer, nothing happened. One year passed, but nothing happened. One day, while discussing the land with a friend who is a member of The Chosen, he said I should take the land documents to The Chosen headquarters at Ijesha. I did photocopies and in the company of my friend, took it to the Lagos headquarters.

During the service, my friend advised that I should raise the copy of the document, when the prayer ministration was going on. As soon as the General Overseer started praying, I did as I was told and raised the document.

After the Crusade, we returned to Kano, and that very day the person who sold the land to us called me and said I should come that he had found a buyer for the land. I said but I did not tell you the price of the land, he said he told the man it was N20, 000, 000. Brethren, that was the land we wanted to sell for N15, 000, 000. Eventually, I told the man that we would sell the land for N18, 000, 000, and that he should keep the remaining two million. I refused to go to Awka and told the man that if actually he was saying the truth, he should come to Kano instead. Brethren, the man eventually came to Kano with the draft written by the buyer. Then we travelled to Lagos where the business was concluded and the buyer paid N10m cash into my bank account and gave me N10m in draft. After all said and done, I went to give my former business partner his own share of the money, but for whatever reason, he rejected the money.

I appealed to people to plead with him and he collected it, but threatened to deal with me. From that moment, my business started crumbling to the extent that for one whole year, no one came to the shop to ask for any product.

When the condition became frustrating and unbearable, I went to my state Pastor and he prayed, but there was no respite. For three years, no single soul entered my shop to transact any business. At a time, the State Pastor said I should come to Lagos. I would go to every crusade that was organised with the hope of seeing the General Pastor but at the end, it would not work out. The State Pastor was telling me to exercise patience, that one day God would do it.

At this juncture, the fear of death beclouded my thought. Then I said since I was going to die, let me share my properties among my children. The fear of death became so terrible that I had to call my State Pastor and intimated him of what I wanted to do. When I called, he told me where he was and I went there and told him my intention, but he replied, “God forbid.” Then he brought out his phone and called our General Pastor.

The General Pastor asked me two questions and said: “Are you a Chosen and living right? I answered in the affirmative. He asked me what the problem was and I explained to him. Then he prayed for me that God should judge whosoever was after my life. As soon as that prayer was made, something flew out of my heart and joy came into me. But after about a month interval, I began to have evil dreams again. At times, I would see myself carrying coffin on my head. I had this dream repeated and severally. Again, I told my State Pastor and he persuaded me to attend a crusade scheduled for the following month and titled: “God’s Intervention In A Time Like This.” I honoured the invitation and on the second day of the two-day programme, while the General Pastor was praying, he said prophetically, “There is a young man, who is always carrying coffin in the dream. From today, he will no longer carry that coffin but his enemies would.” Continuing he said, “they have troubled him a lot, and if they cease not to trouble him, they will be troubled.” As soon as I heard the prophetic message, I knew it was for me and claimed it.

Lo and behold, from that day, the dream ceased. After the programme, I returned to my hotel and before I could settle down, my boy called and said some people came to buy goods from my shop. Brethren, this is the shop that nobody entered to buy anything for three years. I told my boy to sell to them.

When I called later, my boy told me the people had bought goods worth three hundred and thirty thousand naira (N330, 000). Those goods had been in my shop for about seven years, and some of them had started decaying.

Brethren, after returning to Kano, my business started booming again, and within two months, I had made N5, 000, 000. And today, the Lord has not abandoned me.

Brethren, God of The Chosen is too great.
