Ndukuba, Nwaobia, others celebrate with Enyindah’s family as daughter weds Igwe

Saint Peter’s Cathedral Isiokpo, Diocese of Ikwerre, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), was engulfed on Saturday, December 30, 2023 with joy as the Dean, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), and the Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of Niger Delta/Bishop Diocese of Ikwerre, Most Rev. Blessing Chinyere Enyindah, and his wife, Precious Enyindah, gave out their daughter, Dr. Ozioma Favour Blessing to Mr. Reward Chizi-Ike Igwe in a holy matrimony.

The Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of Church of Nigeria, the Most Rev Henry Ndukuba and the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Aba and also Bishop of Isiala Ngwa South, the Most Rev. Isaac Nwaobia, officiated the ceremony.

Archbishop Isaac Nwaobia, who preached at the event called on the newlywed to respect each other and to uphold the sanctity of holy matrimony, adding that they have been accepted into the assembly of married people.

The Primate, while presenting the certificate of marriage to the couple noted that marriage is the only institution that certificate is given before even the marriage begins and those certified will be required to defend the certificate for the rest of their lives.

Ndukuba said: “We know how to give out this certificate, but we do not know how to take it back.”

The couple was also reminded that marriage is honourable and should not be defiled by homosexuality.

Other important Church leaders in attendance were the wife of the Primate, Mrs. Angela Ndukuba (Mama Nigeria); wife of the Archbishop of Aba Province, Mrs. Hope Njideka; Rector, Ibru Ecumenical Centre, Agbarha-Otor, Delta State, the Ven. Stephen Wolemonwu, among others.
