THE National Fellowship of Christian Pharmacy Students (NFCPS) has welcomed fresh students into the faculty of pharmacy. The event, which held at the expansive Lecture Theatre 3, saw the presence of lecturers from the various departments that make up of the faculty.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Omo Owolabi said some people wished to trade place with the students. She, therefore, urged them to face their studies.

She said: “Don’t go about visiting and being part of different associations and groups on campus. Your main purpose in school is to study and serve God, Who made it possible for you to get here.”

Also addressing the students was Dr. Idemudia from the department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Dr. Macpherson Uyi of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

In his closing remark, NFCPS president, Timothy Okooboh, disclosed to the new students that surviving in Pharmacy school is not only by the students’ brilliance or intelligence, but also by God’s favour.

Other activities marking the event were quiz competition, drama presentation and cutting of the cake.
