Preaching morality to politicians

S. I. Okelezoh

In this political world and space, men have indulged in coloured glorified nefarious activities under the cover of the law and they do not recognise morality. Therefore, politicians can continue their political adultery and harlotry in pursuit of Mammon-worship, which is the love of money that is the root of all evils.

It is, therefore, important to draw attention to the indisputable power of morality, which is the sanitiser of the law and political systems.

Morality is the intangible tiny leading balancing guide that basically protects and installs good behaviour, act, motive and conduct for living in social interactions; whether from infringing on human rights and therefore serves as the basis of law-formulation. Morality is the fruit of love, goodness, righteousness and justice.

Matthew 22:36-40
[36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

[38] This is the first and great commandment.

[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

In summary, on morality hangs all the law and the prophet. There is an inborn and inherent call to morality in every human, which operates conscience-processing by these following indices:
1. The power of cognition to identify between good and evil.

2. The power of discernibility, imagination and observation to ascertain correctness. And this is governed by the power of will-power, you tilt either towards the truth or towards falsehood.

Matthew 6:22-23
[22] The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

[23] But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Note that motive is a navigating-eye and motive, therefore, can be either good or evil. Good motive produces good light, while evil motive produces evil and darkness.

Note also that leadership is the eye of the people (the led) and if this eye is blind, both parties fall into the ditch. Again, where there is no navigating good vision, the people perish.
Matthew 15:14

[14] Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Proverbs 29:18
[18] Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
