RCCG regions hold Redeemer’s Day
Christ the Redeemer’s School Management (CRSM), the formal educational agency of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will hold this year’s Redeemer’s Day from March 11 to 12.
The event, which is celebrated with sporting activities, art and dances, science exhibitions, and thanksgiving parade by over 300 schools under RCCG is considered special, as it coincides with the 80th birthday of the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the 70th anniversary of the church and the 40th anniversary of the church’s yearly Convention at Redemption Camp in Mowe, Ogun State.
The first leg of the celebration will be hosted by the church’s 35 Regions across Nigeria’s six geo-political zones from March 11 to 12. While a special edition to honour Pastor Adeboye who turned 80 on March 2, 2022, will hold at the Redemption Camp on March 26.
According to a statement from the CRSM, plans are being perfected for multiple celebrations.
The Redeemer’s Day was first marked at the Redemption Camp in 2000, following a significant increase in the number of schools. The celebration was decentralised and has since been hosted by Regions in different parts of Nigeria since 2016.
