“And Now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy Soul” (Deuteronomy 10:12).

God in His love for humanity has given us numerous things to enjoy in life. He led the Israelite out of captivity, while they were in the bondage of slavery. He gave them instructions on what He requires from them.

God shows us His love when He sends Jesus Christ into the world for the salvation of humanity. God did all these in order to establish deeper fellowship with Him. The demand of God from humanity is a standard in relating with Him in our pilgrimage journey to heaven.

What are the demands of God as listed in the pages?

Fear of God: To fear God means to awe Him or adore Him for what He is and for what He will be. To fear God is to depart from evil. (Job 28:28). The heart that fears the Lord must shun every appearance of devil, and sinful attitude (Prov. 8:13). Run your business with the fear of God; let our political officeholders run the country with the fear of God. To fear God is to walk in uprightness (Prov. 14:2).

Our walk with God must be upright; our relationship with fellow man must be upright. The heart that fears the Lord, will respect justice and equity.

“The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever, the judgments of the LORD are true, they are righteous altogether” (Psalm 19:9). This week, walk and work with God with the fear of God. This is one of the demands of God.
