The mission of a true believer

Believers are Christ Ambassadors. They are the representatives of Jesus Christ on earth and as such have been given the instructions to occupy the office of the Lord Jesus Christ till His second coming.

Mark 16:15: “And he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Luke: 19:10: “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Believers are Christ Ambassadors. They are the representatives of Jesus Christ on earth and as such have been given the instructions to occupy the office of the Lord Jesus Christ till His second coming. The primary duty of a true believer is soul winning or evangelism — every believer must know this. It is their priority and of which they must shine as a light in the darkness because our Lord Jesus Christ is a Light. John 8:12 says: “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 1:5: “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” Matthew 5:14-16 says: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

It is very clear that Jesus Christ shone as light in the world and the darkness of this world could not comprehend His light; in fact, He charged all believers to follow Him as a Light, so that, men can see their good works and glorify their Father in heaven. He wants us to shine in righteousness, in the love and goodness of God and in every attribute of Jesus Christ. He wants us to live as light no matter how darkness is knocking on our doors. As Christ shone, God wants us to shine, so that, as many that will see the light in us will come into God’s kingdom through us.

Also believers should arm themselves with the whole amour of God to enable them shine in the darkness of the world. John 1:29: “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” He came for a purpose and he lived for it; it was to save sinners from sins, from Satan and from the influence of the world. Luke 19:9 says: “And Jesus said unto him, this day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.” Matthew 4:19 notes: “And he saith unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Believers of old submitted to God’s law, which is Jesus Christ and they still struggled to live a Christian life. But Paul’s prayer was that they might be saved and do God’s work. The ministry of a true believer is all souls must be saved because Christ died for the world. He made us His Ambassadors to occupy His office and to do the exact work He did while on earth — to seek and to save that which was lost. John 5:36: “But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.”

Jesus was worked tirelessly. He never allowed anything to distract Him and he fulfilled that purpose, likewise the apostles; they fulfilled their ministry too. As Christ Ambassadors, we must understand that our duty is to carry on the assignment of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is to seek and to save that which was lost. 2 Corinth 5:20: “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

I want you to understand that the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ of to seek and save the lost should be our mission and nothing else must distract us from it. Heaven at last must be our priority. Luke 19:13 says: “And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, occupy till I come.”

We should all be productive; we should not be idle in the church or be a mere bench warmer. We should not be asking God to only give us, rather we are to preach the word and win souls for God. This should be our duty to everyone we come across and if you are not doing it now, you are missing the focus or the reason you are converted. And if you are not committed to that focus and mission, you can find yourself stealing, committing adultery, fornication or doing anything that is against the will of God. But if the focus is burning like a fire in your heart, it will be difficult for you to make a mistake.

Brethren, let us take the advantage of this message and follow the legacy our Master, Jesus Christ left for us. This is the legacy of being a source of light to the world; the legacy of righteousness and evangelism. We must all be committed to it, if we are God’s children. We must work to fulfilled the vision without losing sight of the fact that, the our Lord Jesus Christ worked so that we might be saved. Jesus who said we are the light of the world instructed that we should work so that our light can shine for men of the world to see it and glorify our father which is in heaven. John 13:1-2: “Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that His hour was come that He should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own which were in the world, He loved them unto the end. And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him.”

No matter wherever we may be, our priority should be to save those that are lost. This is the desire of our Lord Jesus Christ. We must ensure that virtues including practical righteousness, love of God, humility and compassion are present in our life. We should not allow unrighteousness and bitterness amid us and those who are spiritually weak in Christ Jesus should be encouraged to be strong for the Lord and do exploit for Him. We should put on the virtue of love because love covers multitude of sin; love will make you to forsake all other things to save others. We are also to follow the leadership of our Lord Jesus Christ by keeping His commandments. If child of God is not addicted to preaching the word of God, something must be wrong with him/her because evangelism is the mission of a true believer. John 20: 21 says: “Then said Jesus to them again, peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.”

The Father had sent Him to go and seek those that are lost. The Lord’s Chosen people must engage themselves in serious preaching of the word because He has commissioned and given us the talents, which must be accounted for, to do so. God has given many of us the talent to win souls and many of us are wasting these talents, which will be accounted for on the last day when there will be nobody on earth to preach to. Isaiah 6:8 says: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

Let us preach this gospel till the end of our life. Let us warn the people to desist from their evil ways. Let us also ask God to help us and make us committed to His Commission.

Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
Spirit Of Death Exorcised
Ps118v17 says: “I shall not die, but live to declare the works of the Lord.” Sudden death is not the portion of the Chosen ones. Our G.O has a covenant with God that no member of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Church shall die before his/her time. I am a beneficiary of this covenant. Here is my testimony:

I am Sister Regina Oko. I am from Enugu State, but based in Benue State. I joined the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Church in 2014. I came to this ministry with a six-month pregnancy. During the period of my pregnancy, I was always dreaming about dead people, including seeing my father who died some years ago. This troubled me and began to fellowship with the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Church. As soon as I came into the church, G.O. mentioned my case and cancelled the spirit of death in my life. With his prayers I felt some sensation in my body while seated, then I realised that something had left me. Praise the Lord!

After the crusade titled, “…And The Enemies Submitted,” the enemies came to fulfill their mission in our lives, but failed. As we were returning home from the programme our bus veered off the road around Otukpo into a thick bush at about 10 o’clock at night. It would have continued moving into the bush, but the God of Chosen stopped it with a boulder and we all alighted unhurt. Praise the Lord!

Another miracle happened after the Women’s Crusade held at Makurdi. I was still carrying my six-month-old pregnancy then. As we were coming for the crusade, we had an accident and the driver died. The driver was sitting directly in my front, but God spared my life and that of my unborn baby. After the mishap, many people visited me thinking I had lost my baby, but to the glory of God I delivered safe and sound at the right time. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!

Again in February 2021, there was a crisis in Benue State over land and as a result of this, shops, farmlands and property were destroyed. Irrespective of the destruction that cut across different locations in the state, the land that belongs to my husband and also mine were not touched. I praise the God of Chosen.

Another miracle happened when I was eight months pregnant of my second child. I went for a scan and the result showed that the baby was sitting. The doctor then said, I would go through cesarean section to deliver the baby. With result, I called my Pastor who prayed for me and when I was due, I went to the hospital and declared whom I am and the baby came out with ease. In that same hospital, a lady was in pain and could not give birth, she keyed into my faith and echoed: “God of chosen come and help me!” Immediately, help came for her and she delivered her baby too. Praise the Lord! God of Chosen is so great.
