RAYMOND Omorogbe, president, Student Union Government (SUG) of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has assured students staying in the hostels of better hostel conditions by next semester.

Omorogbe gave this assurance when briefing the press on the level of progress the newly inaugurated SUG Executives of the school has made.

His words: “I know what it means to stay in a very dirty and unkempt environment. The rot in our hostel, I later found out, is because of the erratic flow of water in most of the blocks, while a few still do not have access to water. But this administration has set out plans to right the wrong.”

Speaking on security, the SUG Publicist, Divine Oguche informed that they are working hand-in-hand with the state government and the school’s security operatives to improve the school’s security and also to map out strategies to end the plague of armed robbery and other crimes on campus.

In a related development, the daughter of the VC, Sheila Orumwense, tied the nuptial knot with her heartthrob Franklin Egbule.

Speaking at the church service, which held at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Benin City, Reverend Father Michael Oyanafor encourage the young couple to love and respect each other.
