An interpreter in simple English language is someone who interprets, someone who explains something. Synonyms for the word “interpreter” are guide, deliverer, reconciler, illuminator, provider, clearer, solver and so on.

Words that are also similar in meaning to the word “dream” are vision, nightmare, idea, visualise, to create pictures, pursuit, aspiration, plan, goal, passion and desired result, among others. When God gives a man a vision, He will surely make provisions for the visions to work.

Daniel Chapter 2 showed us the story of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. One night, Nebuchadnezzar awoke frightened by his dream, so he called for his sorcerers, magicians and astrologers to tell him his dream and to also interpret it because he could not remember what he dreamt about. Now the wise men have two jobs, number one is to recount the King’s dream, as well as interpret the dream.

The penalty for failure was death, meaning all the wise men would be killed. Daniel heard about it and asked the king to give him some time to discover it. Then, he and his friends prayed to God all night and God revealed the dream and interpretation to Daniel, and he praised God for that.

The next morning, Daniel went to the king and told him about his dream and King Nebuchadnezzar believed and praised God. This launched Daniel into a long career as a political leader because God granted him wisdom to the praise of His name.

Daniel became an illuminator to King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Daniel solved his problem.

What kind of dream do you have? What are your plans? What do you aspire to become? What visions do you have? What kind of pictures have you created for yourself? What would be your desired result in the next five or ten years? You need God to send you an interpreter; someone who will discover your talent, someone to guide you, someone to bring light and life to those plans of yours, someone to help you achieve your goals and to deliver you into your inheritance in Christ Jesus. A lot of people die with their dreams unfulfilled because they didn’t come across an interpreter.

Without an interpreter, life becomes sour, stagnant and tiresome. So what should be done is to pray to God to send a Daniel to you. And never neglect or look down on anybody because they may be in the position to interpret your dream, like Joseph was brought out of prison to shed light on Pharaoh’s dream.

You can also be an interpreter to other people’s dream. You can guide people towards achieving their goals. You can speak out for people where the situation calls for it, be a problem solver, put smiles on faces.

All these things glorify God and remember, what you make happen for others, God will make it happen for you too. He wants to touch lives through you. God bless you.
