One of the names of God is El Roi, which means, “the God who sees” us in our afflictions. God is aware of our afflictions. When we feel most invisible and forgotten by everyone else, we should remember that God see us. He sees our struggles and comes along with us.

God is not aloof and indifferent to the problems and sufferings of his people. Whether their sufferings are for the sake of Christ or whether they are as a result of the unjust policies of men, God is touched by the plight, the afflictions and troubles His children go through. God cares about the situations that concern His children.
