Lekki Deep Sea Port
Lekki Port, the first deep-sea port in Nigeria, was developed by CHEC with the BOOT model. It completed the construction in October 2022 with a concession period of 45 years (three years’ construction included).
It has been more than 1.5 years since I worked in Nigeria, and every day I feel the vigor and vitality of Nigeria, infected by the endless energy and passionate eyes of its people in their pursuit of a better life.
January 23 and 24 were landmarks in the annals of Lagos State under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. They were the days President Muhammadu Buhari visited the state to inaugurate several transformational infrastructure projects for the people’s benefit.
There is optimism that the newly constructed Lekki Deep Sea Port will emerge as a game changer for Nigeria’s seaborne trade, as it parades modern facilities amid an improved road network for easy evacuation.
The Lagos State Government on Friday said that President Muhammadu Buhari would be inaugurating at least five projects in the state in two days.
