Nigeria’s inflation

Amid global worry over rising commodity prices, Nigeria’s headline inflation has slowed down to 17.75 per cent year-on-year in June. It was the third consecutive month the inflation would decelerate.

Nigeria’s inflation rate has hit 15.75 percent (year-on-year), indicating a 0.86 percent increase from 14.89 percent in November.

Nigeria’s headline inflation for the month of May, rose further by 0.06 per cent to hit 12.40 per cent year-on-year, largely due to increases in food items including fish, vegetables, bread, oil, fruits, and others.
