The inquest set up by Lagos State government to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of a student of Chrisland Schools, Whitney Adeniran, yesterday, cautioned against unnecessary questions.

Magistrate Olabisi Fajana has fixed April 17, 2023 for parents of the late Chrisland International School student, Whitney Adeniran to testify in the ongoing coroner inquest. 

Lagos State government, yesterday, arraigned Chrisland Schools Limited and four of its staff before a Lagos High Court, Ikeja, over the death of 12-year-old student, Whitney Omodesola Adeniran, who died during the school’s inter-house sports in Agege, Lagos.

The principal, vice principal and two employees of Chrisland International School, Opebi, were arraigned on Thursday over the death of a pupil Whitney Adeniran. “I gave Chrisland School a healthy, vibrant young girl, what Chrisland returned to me is a dead child. My entire family is in deep sorrow but the school authority claimed they know nothing about my daughter’s death and all they know is that my daughter slumped and died.”

Blessing Adeniran, mother of the 12-year-old student of Chrisland Schools, Whitney, who died on February 9, 2023, during the school’s inter-house sports at Agege Stadium, Lagos, yesterday, lamented receiving threats and trolls online.

The Coroner Inquest set-up to ascertain the cause of death of a 12-year-old Chrisland School pupil, Whitney Adeniran, who died on Feb. 9, has fixed April 4 for hearing to commence.
