Firm, varsity to host career event in seven Nigerian cities

Aptech Nigeria has announced plans to hold the 17th edition of its flagship career development programme, Aptech Career Quest 2025, across seven cities next month, in partnership with Middlesex University London.

Billed as Nigeria’s largest career seminar of its kind, the event will run from September 2 to 10, with sessions in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Ota, and Calabar, alongside multiple centres in Lagos and Abuja.

To ensure wider participation, organisers have also scheduled virtual sessions for those who are unable to attend in person.

The initiative is aimed at students, young professionals, and parents seeking insights into international study opportunities and high-demand technology careers. Through its partnership with Middlesex University London, Aptech offers Nigerian students a fast-track pathway to UK degrees at significantly reduced costs.

Under the arrangement, holders of the Aptech Advanced Diploma can gain direct entry into the final year of select undergraduate programmes, including IT and Business Information Systems, Business Computing and Data Analytics, and Animation. This model cuts study time by up to two years and lowers tuition expenses.

So far, more than 850 Nigerians have benefitted from the partnership over the past 19 years. Organisers said this year’s event is timely, coming as Nigeria’s digital economy records strong growth.

Aptech Career Quest 2025 will feature interactive sessions with experts from Aptech and Middlesex University, covering emerging fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, gaming, and animation. Participants will also have access to international networks, industry insights, and scholarship opportunities.

Last year, scholarships worth ₦621 million were awarded during the event. This year, attendees will again have the chance to win up to 50 per cent scholarships for Middlesex University degree programmes, alongside exclusive discounts on Aptech’s professional courses.

Speaking on the upcoming edition, Executive Vice President, International Business at Aptech Limited, Kallol Mukherjee, said the programme underscores Aptech’s commitment to bridging ambition and opportunity.
